Aston Martin One-77 inspired by Alfa 155 V6 TI

Aston Martin’s super sportscar One-77 is top of the Aston Martin range. The engine, for example, is a 7.3 litre V12 with 522kw. Only 77 cars will be produced. Director of design for this car was Marek Reichman.

Chief engineer was Chris Porritt. The Dutch car magazine Autovisie published an article featuring the One-77 in edition no.25 of 2010. Chris Porritt told that he got the inspiration for this car from DTM-cars of the mid-nineties. “Those cars had an engine placed behind the frontaxle and a carbonfiber monocoque. They were actually Formula 1 cars with the engine in the frontsection. Do you remember the Alfa Romeo 155 V6 Ti DTM? I admire that car.”
